Twitter has made more layoffs from the company’s Trust and Safety division, which is responsible for handling global content moderation, as well as policing hate speech and harassment on the platform, according to a new Bloomberg report on Saturday.

In addition, there were another dozen cuts made on Friday night, which affected employees in the social media platform’s Dublin and Singapore offices, according to the report, which cited individuals familiar with the matter.

Some of those laid off included Nur Azhar Bin Ayob, a new hire who worked as head of site integrity for the Asia-Pacific region, and Analuisa Dominguez, Twitter’s senior director of revenue policy, according to Bloomberg.

The layoffs also impacted staff handing misinformation policy and global appeals and state media on the platform, according to the report.

Ella Irwin, vice president of the trust and safety division, confirmed that there were cuts made to the trust and safety team late Friday, but offered no further details.

In an email, she said, “We have thousands of people within Trust and Safety who work content moderation and have not made cuts to the teams that do that work daily.” She added that some of the cuts were in areas which lacked sufficient volume, or where it was sensible to consolidate work.

In early November, Twitter laid off 3,700 out of 7,500 of its full time employees as CEO Elon Musk sought to contain expenses at the newly acquired company, and remove it from what Musk referred to as the “fast lane to bankruptcy.” According to a report at Platformer, 4,400 out of 5,500 contractors at Twitter also saw their jobs cut. Hundreds more employees reportedly resigned in the turmoil of the acquisition, as well as following a demand from Musk to work long hours for no additional compensation.

Last month, some laid off workers hit the company with a sexual discrimination lawsuit, alleging the layoffs disproportionately affected women at the company.
