Tesla Inc. is recalling roughly 321,000 vehicles in the US because of a potential rear light failure, according to media reports which cite a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) filing which was released on Saturday.
The document noted that although the company has received several customer complaints over the failure of the lights, there have been zero reports of crashes or injuries due to the condition.
The company reports it believes it can correct the issue using a wireless update.
The recall targets 2023 Tesla Model 3 vehicles, and Model Y vehicles made between 2020 and 2023.
This recall comes on the heels of another recall earlier in the week of roughly 30,000 Model X vehicles, due to a potential failure of the passenger side airbag to inflate properly. On Friday Tesla shares tumbled almost 3% to a two-year low. The company has also recalled 40,000 Model S and Model X vehicles over a power steering assist failure.
NHTSA data shows that so far this year, Tesla has recalled 3.7 million vehicles in 19 different recalls.
