Elon Musk released a series of tweets in which he revealed Bill Gates holds a short position in Tesla that would now require between $1.5 billion and $2 billion to close out.
Musk went on the say the position had been $500 million and surged after Tesla stock, “… went up a lot.”
Previously Gates had been asked about any short position and responded tersely, “I don’t talk about my investments.”
Musk made the comments after the close of a twitter poll asking who respondents trusted less, politicians or billionaires. Politicians garnered more than 75% of the votes.
